Larry D. Copeland - Owner / President
Larry attended York Technical College and completed the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC) program in 1986 with an associate's degree. Larry has also completed training and courses offered by Trane, Carrier, York, Mitsubishi R2, and non destructive Eddy Current testing classes. Larry is a licensed Mechanical Contractor in the State of South Carolina and holds a Universal Refrigerant card. He has been in the Commercial and Industrial HVAC market for over 25 years.

Larry and his wife reside in Rock Hill, S.C. and he has three daughters. His hobbies include boating, coastal fishing and trout fishing.

Rodney L. Gordon - Owner / Vice President
Rodney graduated from Gaston College in 1981 from the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) program. Rodney has attended and received extensive factory training from all of the major manufacturers including Trane, Carrier, York, McQuay, and Mitsubishi. He has over 25 years of experience in the Commercial and Industrial HVAC industry and has successfully managed all aspects of projects including small, large, critical, and fast paced projects. Rodney is a licensed Mechanical Contractor by the State of North Carolina and is Universal Refrigerant certified.

Rodney and his wife reside in Kings Mountain, N.C. and are active in First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain. He is also active in local government, serving a second term as Councilmember and Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Kings Mountain.

Billy Garrison - Operations Manager
Billy attended Central Piedmont Community College where he completed the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC) program. He has worked in the commercial and industrial HVAC industry for over 18 years in many different roles which includes Service Technician, DDC/Pneumatic Controls Service/Installation, and Management positions. He has attended and completed numerous factory training classes from Carrier, Trane, Mitsubishi, and others. Currently Billy is the Operations Manager at Carolina Air Solutions, Inc. and his duties include managing daily operations, employee scheduling, project management, customer relations, bidding/billing jobs, etc.

Billy, along with his wife, son, and daughter reside in Monroe, N.C. Billy's hobbies include hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Mike Bell - Senior Service Technician
Mike has over 35 years of experience in the HVAC Industry which guarantees a vast and broad knowledge in every aspect of the industry. Mike has successfully completed factory training and received certifications from every major equipment manufacturer including Trane, Carrier, Dunham Bush, etc. The day to day job assignments for Mike includes taking a lead role on extended out of town projects in Washington, D.C. including service and construction projects, manufacturer required maintenance on chillers and other HVAC equipment, and rebuild and repairs on chillers.

Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp and he and his wife reside in Gastonia, N.C. They attend and are active in First Baptist Church in Lowell, N.C.

Joe Long - Senior Service Technician
Joe has over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry and is very knowledgeable on maintaining and servicing chillers and reciprocating equipment on new and older equipment. Joe has received extensive formal training and knowledge from equipment manufacturers as well as Technical Colleges. Joe is well respected in the industry and by his fellow employees and uses his expertise in the industry to train his coworkers. Daily job assignments for Joe includes technical assistance for fellow technicians and customers, troubleshooting difficult issues on equipment, corresponding with factory technicians to resolve factory related issues, and service and maintenance on chillers and other equipment.

Joe resides in Crouse, N.C.

Eric Gaydos - Service Technician
Eric Gaydos is an accomplished technician with over 13 years of experience in the commercial and industrial HVAC field. He has achieved HVAC certification from the National Center of Construction Education and Research. He has also attended and completed training courses in compressor rebuild and analysis as well as OSHA safety training. Eric also has considerable training in Carrier 3V controls and Trane R series air cooled and water cooled chillers.

Eric is married and has three sons. His hobbies are motorcycles, shooting, and camping with his family.

Darren Champion - Construction Coordinator
Darren coordinates and executes all construction projects and assures all projects are completed professionally with a high level of quality. His attention to detail and high level of expectations separates him from others in the HVAC construction industry. Darren sets high goals for this department and seldom has problems achieving these goals. This position requires Darren to interact and coordinate the other trades and vendors in the field construction projects for CAS. Darren is 6G welding certified, has his Universal Refrigerant certification, and also has over 15 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Darren, his wife, and son reside in Crouse, NC.

Suzanne Newell - Office Manager
Suzanne has the most tenure of any employees at Carolina Air Solutions, Inc. She has been actively employed at CAS since its inception. Suzanne is very motivated and a self starter that has brought the Office to a recognized first class operation. Her day to day activities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and human resources.

Suzanne is married to Bill and they reside in Gastonia, NC. Her hobbies include painting, the grandkids, and being active.

Dora Vause - Administrative Assistant of Operations
Dora has been the Administrative Assistant of Operations for CAS since 2008. She played a vital role in designing a custom built web based software program that enables CAS in dispatching, scheduling, record keeping, employee time recording and completion of assigned work orders. Dora operates the software package to assure all these areas flow smoothly. Dora also takes service calls from customers, schedules and dispatches service calls and maintenance visits, receives and processes technician paperwork. She processes the paperwork for billing and processes vendor invoices for payment. Upper Management depends on her for assistance and special projects.

Dora and her husband live in Clover, S.C. and she is currently enrolled at York Technical College working on a degree in Human Resources Management.
